There's a person running around Manhattan calling themselves "Neckface," and doing themed batches of graffiti. I'm guessing it's a student from the School of Visual Arts (SVA), since it's mostly seen around SVA buildings. This one, by the main building over on 23rd, is particularly amusing.
There a graf or two by this guy on 13th street & University in Manhattan, and across from 248 McKibbin Street in Bushwick.

Posted by: Max at July 2, 2003 05:26 PMI fucking hate the shit out of Neckface. He's stuck halfway between wanting to make things that are pretty in oublic places and wantingg to sign his name to paintings that he never botehred doing. In the end he's just a halfassed mixture of Kieth Haring and Basquiat. He's not doing anything new or different, just the same old "arty" but shitty, and twenty five years later. I'll end this by taunting him,"La la la! My name is Neckface, I can write my name on the wall!"

I've seen alot of "neckface" stuff around the same 'hood, but was surprised (and somewhat delighted) to see it crop up on a rooftop visible from the outdoor stops on the F line in Brooklyn, around the Smith/9th Street stop!
